What is the difference between the three living options?

The Shared Dining arrangement covers meals only — a good choice for those living nearby who would like community meals. Garden Mornings adds outdoor access and daily garden programming. The Full Comfort Residence brings everything together under one monthly fee, with a private furnished room, housekeeping, and a dedicated personal host.

Is Yau Lok a medical facility?

No. Yau Lok is a non-medical lifestyle community. We focus on daily comfort, good meals, outdoor time, and social connection. Residents who require nursing or clinical care would need to arrange that separately with appropriate healthcare providers.

Can family members visit and join for meals?

Absolutely. Family visits are warmly welcomed. Guests may join a resident for meals with advance notice. We ask for a modest guest meal contribution to cover kitchen arrangements. There is no set limit on visiting hours during daytime.

How does the monthly fee work — are there extra charges?

Each arrangement is billed monthly at a fixed rate. The Full Comfort Residence package includes housekeeping, linen, laundry, and errand help, so there are very few surprises. Optional services such as guest meals or certain outings may carry a small additional cost, and we will always be clear about this in advance.

Can I try Yau Lok before committing long-term?

We encourage a personal visit to see the residence and meet the team. Short trial stays are available in the Full Comfort Residence package subject to room availability. Please contact us to discuss what would work best for your situation.

How do you handle personal dietary needs?

Our kitchen staff are happy to note personal preferences and common dietary considerations — reduced salt, soft textures, particular dislikes, and so on. We ask that any specific clinical dietary requirements be communicated clearly at the time of enquiry.
